The child app does not hide permissions. The setup guide explains why location, usage statistics, notifications and an exemption from battery optimisation are needed. If location stops updating, check always-on location permission, battery saving for the child app and connection status in the parent app. Permission refusals are not bypassed. A dependent feature stays inactive with a visible status.
