Guardian Child 1.9.2 (Android, build 31) filters websites using a local DNS filter (a VPN for DNS queries only): domain restrictions, exceptions, categories including adult content and gambling, and SafeSearch. It requires one-time consent on the phone; on a managed phone it stays active. The Parent Portal offers a child location and zones map (OpenStreetMap, loaded after consent), full zone editing, app and website controls, invitations for a second caregiver, invoice printing and in-app dialogs. Family alerts show the child’s name. The admin panel includes forms for AI keys, discount codes, invoices, support, articles and plans. iPhone push notifications (APNs) and SMTP email are implemented server-side and require operator configuration. The iPhone app must be built on a Mac.
